A Christian community

for fellowship, worship, prayer and biblical teaching

to serve English-speaking adults and children in Ljubljana

as part of the greater Body of Christ in Slovenia.

The International Church of Ljubljana began in 2002, using English to bring together a variety of people from different nationalities. ICL is the only English-speaking, evangelical international church in Slovenia.

We believe that the Bible is very relevant in today's world and that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ gives life its deepest meaning.  We desire that every one has the opportunity both to hear this Good News and to respond to it in a community of believers.

We live in diverse community together:  We rejoice in our diversity as the Body of Christ, coming from different cultures and Christian traditions; whether Slovene or expatriate, whether employed by a company, or studying in school or serving full-time as a Christian worker.  The number of people attending ICL often reflects the constantly changing international population.  But the church meets every week of the year, always focused on the Word of God.

Part of the tithes and offerings given to the church go to pay the minimal expenses the church has.  With the bulk of the funds given we carefully choose various ministries and projects in Slovenia that we can bless and support.  Give generously!  Click to learn more about how to give.

We have a weekly prayer meeting and a midweek Bible study.  We also have special events including Easter and Christmas potluck and hymn sing.  After Sunday services we invite everyone to stay and fellowship together.

There are other opportunities for outreach and Bible study with people who have ministries outside this church, if you would like to be involved.

ICL is member of the Missional International Church Network
